Resumen
The root causes of today’s environmental problems remain unresolved. Unfortunately, the crisis looks set to take an increasingly greater toll on the world population: widening the inequality gap and making it harder to guarantee human rights are undeniable consequences of the crisis. This is why we need to forge ahead with negotiations, continue to propose lines of action and demand that our governments take concrete actions. The collection of articles in this issue of the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior aim to encourage debate, and we hope they will serve as inspiration for those interested in advancing the study of environmental diplomacy.
