A Brief Overview of the Climate Change International Regime

Resumen

The COP has established itself as the official negotiation entity for all matters related to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the instruments whose objective is to limit the increase in global temperature. Since the UNFCCC came into force, negotiations have been experiencing advances and setbacks regarding the establishment of an effective international regime that addresses the causes and consequences of global climate change. In spite of that, it is still a benchmark for climate action and the adoption of new goals to face this global crisis.
