Abstract

The section "Memoirs of Mexican diplomacy" includes on this occasion an interview with Ambassador Rosario Green Macías, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the first woman to hold that position. A diplomat with extensive academic experience, Rosario Green talks about her long professional career, her vocation as an internationalist, of public service... and the honor of becoming Mexico's foreign minister. In the interview, Ambassador Green makes a first and necessary overall evaluation of Mexican foreign policy in recent years. The interview with Ambassador Rosario Green was conducted by Ambassador Roberta Lajous Vargas in Mexico City, on September 18, 2000.
