The Bilateral Diplomacy

In the first part of this essay, a historical overview of the main actors of diplomacy is made, in order to identify the scope and nature of the tasks required to achieve its objectives. Subsequently, in the second part, five specific functions that the diplomat must perform in the era of globalization are presented. The conclusion highlights the dynamic nature of diplomacy.
