The Diversification Policy: An Overview

From a protectionist, endogenous economy with a strong State presence, with amazing speed and envied stability, Mexico is moving to another in which openness, export promotion, privatization, and deregulation make it possible to participate in the process of globalization and interdependence. Its international projection intensifies in the concrete, while the conflictive bipolar scheme disappears and the international scene is in a transition stage that allows and favors diversification in all fields.
