Entry into the OECD

In recent months, some works have been published that review and explain Mexico's entry into the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), so this essay will try to address the issue from a perspective that explores the causes and possible consequences of our country's accession to the Organization. Doing so requires, first, understanding the historical situation that Mexico was experiencing at the time the admission was decided. To what degree, to what extent will our membership in the OECD contribute to consolidating the opening and the changes that have occurred in our country? Time will tell; It is clear that the first and fundamental responsibility corresponds to the country itself, its society and its government. Consolidating the progress achieved is part of modernity, and modernity, says Octavio Paz, is the beginning of the new tradition.
