Latin American Vector within International Positioning of Russia

The main focus of the article is related with a perception of Russia as a new actor on the modern international stage and at the same time as an influential nation-state with a millennia-old tradition. It is stated that Latin America is getting major weight in the international arena and it has positive effect as these countries are changing their position to the role of an active subject. This fact is highly appreciated in Russia. Today Latin America represents for Russia a factor of alternative possibilities and a point of strategic support for Russian presence on the global stage.
