Abstract

First of all, in this brief analysis of the current situation of intervention/non-intervention, an attempt will be made to clarify this notion, both from a legal and ethical point of view, and to identify the difficulties that arise from these perspectives of analysis. Likewise, an attempt will be made to delimit the relationship between the intervention and the principles of sovereignty and self-determination, based on the clarification obtained from the previous point in order to immediately study the "dialectic" between these concepts; that is, the dynamic established between them. In the second part of this essay, the current trends in the interpretation of intervention/non-intervention at a theoretical level and of Real Politik will be traced, for which their "legitimate" modalities will be touched upon. The conclusion will outline a general perspective from which the current possibility of intervention legislation can be assessed.
