This essay will recount the security discussions between Mexico and the United States and how the issue of arms trafficking is introduced. Reference will also be made to the U.S. legislation on arms, arms trafficking on the border between the two countries, examples of cases of violence in Mexican border states, the new strategy of the Government of Mexico on arms trafficking to Mexico and the growing hate speech, racism, xenophobia and supremacism, and their link to arms trafficking.
