Tourism Diplomacy Council

The 2019-2024 National Tourism Strategy is democratic in the sense that it complies with the tenets of the System for the Democratic Planning of National Development set forth in the Mexican Constitution, the Planning Law and the General Tourism Law. The goal of this strategy is to position Mexico as a competitive, forward-looking tourism power, turn tourism into a vehicle for the fair and equitable development of Mexico’s communities and regions, and employ it as a tool for social reconciliation via the sustainable exploitation of the country’s tourism assets.
