Towards a Mexican Foreign Policy with a Comprehensive Vision for East Africa: The Perspective from Kenya

Abstract

Mexico must continue to actively participate in the work of international organizations based in Nairobi and rethink its foreign policy towards Africa, with a comprehensive medium- and long-term vision, in order to diversify its relations and avoid, to the extent possible, possible, the risks that the high concentration of its exchanges with a single country or region of the world implies for its national security. Some of the efforts that the government of Mexico is carrying out for this purpose are highlighted below, both bilaterally with Kenya and others in the region, and multilaterally.
