Abstract

This article presents a historical and political analysis of the evolution of the development agenda in the OECD, from its beginnings to the present day, focusing on the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and the Development Centre. The aim is to show how these two bodies responded to changes in geopolitics and development paradigms during the first 60 years of the OECD, in order to better understand the current challenges facing the Organization and its development agenda.
