Abstract

This article examines and characterizes the exercise of Public Diplomacy in social networks, otherwise referred to as Digital Public Diplomacy. To carry out the analysis, the Pacific Alliance was defined as the object of study, particularly its actions via Twitter, the main social network for these matters. Thus, this study explores and dialogues with recent perspectives on the applicability of the notion of soft power within the digital sphere. In conclusion, it argues for further reflection regarding the evolution of power in a context of interconnectivity and instantaneity, proposing the relevance of a digital dimension.
