Abstract
The new concept of Sustaining Peace represents a paradigm change for the work of the UN, as it implies preventing, rather than managing, conflicts, and focusing on addressing the root causes of conflict and the pursuit of development. Mexico is playing an important role in this definition and promotes its implementation.
