Multilateral Strategy of Mexico to the Drug Problem: From Diagnosis to Action

Abstract
This article reviews Mexico’s position and strategy in international negotiations on drugs. The author presents multilateral actions as foreign policy tools and elements of a broader process, based on the preparatory work, results and scope of the United Nations Special Session on Drugs (UNGASS 2016). His conclusion is that the lessons and experience of this multilateral process can serve us as guidelines for future action in international drug policymaking.
