The Definition of the Post-2015 Development Agenda: Process and Challenges

Abstract

The UN is in the final phase of fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals and in the middle of the process to define a new development agenda beyond 2015 that will allow continued domestic and international efforts to eradicate poverty and promote sustainable development. This article details the path that has been followed in this regard, and some of the major challenges facing the international community in defining a new development agenda that is truly transformative, universal and inclusive.
