Las alianzas de ciudades y gobiernos locales como germen de un mundo nuevo

This article aims at demonstrating that the international relations of cities and local governments, beyond competition, can create opportunities based on a different approach guided by solidarity principales. The author points at a new generation of city networks different from the traditional local government associations that have focused themselves in representative and vindictive approaches. The article suggests that mayors should no longer insist in being part of the international system of Nation States, but create their own world architecture, more adapted to their local priorities, with concrete results and oriented by their own agenda.
