Abstract
This article describes the background of the Effective Development Cooperation Agenda, as well as the context behind Mexico’s decision to host the First High-Level Meeting of the gpedc. In this regard, it documents the challenges faced during the preparatory work and the efforts made to convene all actors that participated in this event. Finally, it draws the perspectives that will guide Mexico’s actions as one of the co-chairs of the GPEDC for the next two years.
