Abstract

The Pacific Alliance is an open integration process that has renewed the regional institutional framework and that has broken the established integration schemes in the region. It is based on the common conviction of the Member States of the importance of democracy and the market economy, in the belief that the interests are socially constructed according to the identities of the actors. Peru is committed with the process since its beginning, playing a vital role in its evolution.
