The shelters in France

In the historical section of this issue of the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior there is an excerpt from the book that inaugurated the Oral History of Mexican Diplomacy Collection, Gilberto Bosques: el oficio del gran negociador, by Graciela de Garay, in which Bosques narrates the daily life of more than two thousand refugees, with different nationalities, in the two large properties rented by him in Marseille. This section is accompanied by a series of photographs from the time, courtesy of the Bosques family and the Photo Library of the Diplomatic Historical Collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The shots are of the castles of Reynarde and Montgrand, enclosures that served to house and shelter hundreds of people before processing and organizing their transfer to our country.
