Confidence in Construction: Street Level Experience in Working with Dreamers

In Albuquerque, from the joint collaboration with the consulate, we dreamers have learned that the consulates have a long tradition of service and connection with the community, which goes beyond the mere issuance of documents. From the perspective of the consulate, the officials have verified that the dreamers of Mexican origin are a group of young people with unique characteristics: without yet having a full experience of what Mexico is, they show in their Spanish that they belong to our country. Eager for opportunities, they have tremendous potential to simultaneously assimilate the Mexican and American reality.
