Abstract
The economic and social reality of regional integration offers opportunities for the three countries to see in it and in its deepening opportunities for cooperation and mutual benefit. In the articles of this volume of the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior, the reader will have the opportunity to review some key issues on the North American agenda that, by way of context, will allow them to understand and evaluate the current situation of integration in Latin America. from North. The essays revolve around the following main themes: the first three offer a discussion of North America in general, either regarding the factors that influence regional competitiveness and the deepening of economic integration or regional governance, its institutions and the distribution of political power within it. The following three address specific issues: security, energy, climate change and migration, which are central to giving a more specific content to the regional cooperation agenda. The last article expands the geographical perspective by including a reflection on the new U.S. government and the rest of the hemisphere.
