If the 1948 Declaration showed the will of the international community to achieve the full validity of human rights, the World Conference on Human Rights (Vienna, 1993) confirmed that this is a priority issue on the contemporary international agenda. Through this special issue of the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to reiterate the importance and validity of this document.
