The Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior (RMPE) is a quarterly publication of the Matías Romero Institute (IMR) of the Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE). Since its appearance in 1983, it has contributed to the IMR's task of disseminating Mexican foreign policy and international relations issues.
The RMPE is an academic journal that publishes specialized texts by officials of the Foreign Ministry and members of the Mexican Foreign Service, as well as academics from other national and international institutions.
As a means of information and reference, the RMPE is directed both to the official of the Foreign Ministry and to the reader specialized or interested in the international work of Mexico.

The articles included on this issue of Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior, elaborated in collaboration with the Mexican chapter of PECC, are a significant contribution to identify, analize and enhance the possibilities of a greater collaboration and integration with the Asia-Pacific region which offers huge and multiple opportunities to represent about 30% of the population, trade and the global economy.
