In this issue of the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior some important issues related to peace and security in the post-cold war period are analyzed: the end of the Cold War, international cooperation; mutual trust measures; peace processes; post-Cold War geopolitical readjustments; and security in Central and South Asia. As part of the permanent sections of this publication, the foreign policy chronology, IMRED activities, address and documents, and reviews are included.
With this issue, the Revista Mexicana de Política Exterior begins a new periodicity. For reasons unrelated to the editors, mainly related to the purpose of offering, in each issue, original works related to a specific topic, the publication had been experiencing delays. Therefore, after making an effort to gather the material from two quarters into a single issue of the Journal (No. 51), the decision was made to publish it three times a year, instead of quarterly. With this, we have sought to avoid delays and maintain the quality that our readers demand. From now on, the Magazine will appear in the months of October, February and June.
